the emerald city ranch rescue is a small unique group of passionate and dedicated volunteers that provide a humane and medically appropriate sanctuary for disabled, abandoned, special needs and elderly animals in the Wicomico and Worcester Counties of Maryland. We believe all animals deserve respect and dignity particularly when receiving end of life care. With the support, donations and assistance of other groups in harmony with our beliefs, we provide for everyday needs, compassionate peaceful care and hospice services in a cage free environment which includes loving human companionship.
Cat of the week
Contact us for more information on our "cat of the week." Things change so often that it's hard to keep this up to date. Plenty of kitties are looking for their forever home.
VOLUNTEER
We love to have visitors. We love even more when they can lend a helping hand. There's always lots to do. Volunteers can even just come to give TLC to our "munchkins."
Volunteers can come on a regular schedule or just when they have some extra time to offer. We find that most volunteers feel this is a "get away" for them, too.
Our "munchkins" are in a free roaming environment. Some must be confined for acclamation to the property or illnesses. So, those "munchkins" need a little more attention.
Volunteers must register and have their schedule accepted by the "wizard." Please no drop-ins.
